Use the Proxy Rules dialog box to edit the proxy settings.
You will find a description of what Proxy Rules are used for and how to configure them in the Proxy Rule Configuration section of the Administration Guide.
These settings control how many emails can be forwarded onto another SMTP server.
Any emails relayed will be logged.
Only enable this option if you are prepared to accept the consequences of forwarding a limited number of email messages.
Emails will only be relayed if the SMTP Proxy Rule is configured and allows a connection.
A value of one or greater enables the KFSensor to act as a functional SMTP open relay server.
The reason for allowing this is that spammers typically send a test message to themselves to confirm any SMTP server they find is fully functioning before using it to send real spam to their victims.
This maximum value has two effects:
To ensure a better chance of the relay email being delivered it is possible to route all emails via a real SMTP server. To do this enter the domain name or IP address of the SMTP server in this field.
