Export/Import Keys

Depending on the option selected this dialog box enables you to export or import the local keys for this KFSensor installation.

Export Public Key

This will export this KFSensor's local public key to a file. This can be transferred and imported into another KFSensor installation to allow the two installations to communicate.
Only the public key is exported, as another KFSensor installation does not need the private key.

Import Key - from Local Sensor Configuration

If importing a key from the Local Sensor Configuration dialog then this will replace the local keys with the matching public and private contained in the specified file.
Files containing both public and private keys are created using the Create Sensor Key File dialog box.

Import Key - from Remote Administration

This will import the public key contained in the specified file.

Fields

• Password
  Each KFSensor key file is encrypted with the AES algorithm using a 256 bit key.
• File Path
  Enter the file path of key file using the browse button for easy selection.
